Year after year, sepsis is a common problem diagnosis for the CDI profession when it comes to missed opportunities and common denials, not to mention a deadly diagnosis for patients. This year, more than 85% of respondents in the 2024 CDI Week Industry Overview Survey reported that sepsis is one of their top five denied diagnoses. With the year coming to a close, I thought it’d be interesting to highlight the major news, advice, and member education we covered here at ACDIS this year!
