Local chapter update: The benefits of ACDIS local chapter involvement

CDI Strategies - Volume 12, Issue 40

Even if you’ve been involved with your ACDIS local chapter for some time, you may not be taking full advantage of the benefits offered to you. Here are some of the things you have access to:

  • Discounts on national ACDIS membership: Chapter members can fill out the online membership roster to receive a special discount of their national membership. Similarly, chapter leaders receive a 50% discount off of national membership after a full calendar year of service, per the Local Chapter Agreement Form.
  • Continuing education credits: Local chapters can apply for CCDS CEUs free of charge for their chapter events. Chapter members, by attending chapter events, will receive any CEUs offered.
  • Products & Materials: ACDIS donates two free products to help facilitate local chapter activities every calendar year. Often, these materials are raffled off at chapter meetings.
  • National support for local endeavors: ACDIS publishes event information and wants to be an active member of the chapter leadership team to help plan and guide chapter activities.

If you’re a chapter leader, make sure you’re communicating these benefits to your chapter members. To that end, ACDIS has created a poster highlighting the above benefits. We encourage you to download and print the poster to have at chapter meetings or to display or hand out to other CDI professionals you come in contact with.

The following is a list of upcoming events for ACDIS local chapters. If you have an upcoming event you would like to include, please email Melissa Varnavas (mvarnavas@acdis.org) and Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org).
