Local chapter update: Local chapter leadership toolkit revision underway

CDI Strategies - Volume 13, Issue 31

During a recent ACDIS Chapter Advisory Board (CAB) meeting, volunteers discussed various ways to improve its “Leadership Toolkit” to make it easier for those leading chapters and networking groups to avail themselves of the collective advice of leaders who’ve gone before.

The current Toolkit includes tips for getting a chapter started, organizing meetings per an annual calendar, collecting membership demographic data, meeting icebreakers, bylaw best practices, dues collection, and so much more. ACDIS also often includes excerpts from the Toolkit here in CDI Strategies. Over the coming months, however, the CAB will re-examine the materials, update as necessary and create a comprehensive PDF for the volunteer local chapter and network community to download, highlight, and adapt for their needs.

The CAB also seeks input from the local chapter community. If you spot something out of date, have a successful process in place, or wish something was available that you haven’t been able to track down, let us know. Simply email ACDIS Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas at mvarnavas@acdis.org.
