Local chapter update: Local events go national

CDI Strategies - Volume 13, Issue 20

Day 2 of the ACDIS annual conference is “state pride day,” a day for attendees to join forces with other attendees from their states and get to know their neighbors. Attendees are encouraged to wear state-themed garb to make it easier to identify each other and network. Volunteer leaders often go out of their way to decorate tables in the exhibit hall lunchroom with state or network-focused themes. For an idea about what local chapters did last year, take a look at the 2018 Conference Special Section (see p. 19).

This year, for example, the Washington Evergreen ACDIS chapter will decorate tables like a mountain vista complete with pine trees, sunshine, clouds, and a sasquatch!

Those attending the conference should watch for an email from ACDIS Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas about more specific activities as well as check the local chapter/networking group discussion board in the conference app for additional information.

Those unable to attend this year’s event needn’t worry—volunteer leaders work diligently all year round to bring educational and networking events to those closer to home.

The following is a list of upcoming events for ACDIS local chapters. If you have an upcoming event you would like to include, please email Melissa Varnavas (mvarnavas@acdis.org) and Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org).
