Local chapter update: Set your calendars, gather more CDI friends for your next event

CDI Strategies - Volume 13, Issue 13

As the first quarter of the year comes to a close, it’s a great time to solidify your local chapter events calendar for 2019. Having a set calendar helps potential attendees plan in advance, make any necessary travel arrangements, and even volunteer for to host or speak for one of the events.

Though ACDIS national only requires chapters hold two meetings per year, many choose a quarterly cadence, moving the events around the state or alternating between in-person and virtual events so that the most people possible can participate in chapter festivities.

If your local chapter is holding an event or has the whole year’s schedule settled, please take a moment to review the list below and contact Associate Director Melissa Varnavas (mvarnavas@acdis.org) and Editor Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org) if you don’t find yours listed.

If the ACDIS staff knows when and where your events are taking place, they can help you reach more people in your geographic area and offer guidance as you plan.

When sending your event info, please include the following details:

  • Date
  • Time
  • Location
  • Any relevant details you’d like to include (e.g., save-the-date flyer, agenda, registration link, etc.)
  • Name and email address of the event contact

We look forward to hearing about your plans! Remember, too, that local chapters are encouraged to apply for CCDS continuing education credits free of charge. Leadership must complete the application form 30 days prior to the event. And, if you’re not currently part of a chapter, make sure you fill out the online membership roster to get connected with your local leaders.

The following is a list of upcoming events for ACDIS local chapters. If you have an upcoming event you would like to include, please email Varnavas and Archibald.
